The Bonhams group of auction houses is third in the world.We seek a motivated and organized individual who will be responsible for supervising and working in our cashiering department in San Francisco. The department is responsible for collections (as cashier in person, over the telephone and via fax/email). This role involves processing payment for both onsite/offsite sales.
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience where it was a priority to successfully resolve customer issues or problems.The candidate will possess the following:1. Cashiering/collection experience;2. Effective written and verbal skills;3. Supervisorial experience and4. A desire to work in a fast-paced environment.The position requires occasional overtime and some weekend work.Qualifications:* 3 years billing and collection experience in a supervisory role.* Outstanding organizational and customer service skills.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word and PC.* 10-key by touch.* Demonstrated math aptitude, including cash and bank reconciliations.* Must be capable of handling high stress situations.* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.* Experience with computerized billing systems preferred.* Knowledge of Accounting principals.
